LOLIGO SQUID

Our Loligo squid is sourced from the Indonesian Strait, where we sort and freeze them directly on board. This process ensures that the freshness of the squid is preserved. We classify the squid into two quality categories, which are further divided into five size types:

•  Size 2, class (B) / (L): above 23 cm

•  Size 3, class(B) / (L): around 20 cm

•  Size 4, class (B) / (L): around 16 cm

•  Size 5, class (B) / (L): around 14 cm

•  Size 6, class (B) / (L): around 12 cm

Each category and size type comes with a different price. The classification is based on the physical quality of the squid skin. Class (B) consists of high-quality squid that have no scratches, while Class (L) features squid with a few minor scratches. Class (B) is typically preferred by consumers who value the appearance of unblemished squid, whereas Class (L) caters to customers who are less concerned with aesthetics. The quality of the squid meat in all classes remains consistent with no difference.

Our squid is packed by grade and size, frozen in blocks (not dry frozen/IQF), placed in plastic, and then packed in cardboard boxes weighing between 10 and 17 kilograms.

Additionally, we can print the company logo on the cardboard boxes upon request from the buyer.
